Tour of the Mompox village – 2 nights and 3 days

The village of Mompox is situated at 291km south from Cartagena on the coast of the Magdalena River. To get there, we must pass through the city of Magangue and take a ferry to pass through the river to arrive at the Bodega village. Finally we arrive at Mompox 45 minutes after this village. We stay at the Dona Manuela hotel for two nights.

 

Day 1:
- 7:30am: Departure to Mompox
- 11:30am: Arrival at Mangangue
- 1:00pm: Ferry departure on the Magdalena river
- 2:45pm: Arrival at Mompox
- 6:00pm: 7pm City tour by mototaxi
- 7:30pm: Supper in a typical restaurant

Day 2:
- 9:00am: City tour with a local guide to see the churches, museums, places
- 1:00pm: Typical diner
- 2:30pm: Promenade on the Pijillos lagoon to appreciate the wildlife and flora of the region
- 5:30pm: Return at the hotel
- Open evening

Day 3:
- 6:45am: Departure to Cartagena
- 11:30am: Visit of San Jacinto and archaeological museum and for diner
- 3:00pm: Arrival at Cartagena
