The statue India Catalina - Cartagena de Indias
This work was created by the
sculpture Eladio Gil which symbolize the first nation to
Cartagena de Indias. Situated at the corner of the Pedro
de Heredia and Venezuela street, India Catalina tells the
story of a great war that was born in a close city,
whether Galerazambo and was captured by Alonso de Ojeda in
1509. And then brought to Santo Domingo where Diego de
Nicuesa educated here as a Spanish woman in order to use
here for language translation. Pedro de Heredia used it
during the land quest and the foundation of Cartagena.
