Isla Del Sol is a private beach with a small hotel. That means you can swim or stay on the beach without being harassed by people trying to sell you things.

What is interesting about Isla del Sol is that this small hotel is located on Isla Grande in the Rosario Islands and nearby, there is a coral reef for snorkeling. The coral reef makes the water exceptionally clean, but beware of corals stranded on the shore, as it can be a bit of a pain to walk on. This is one of the best places to swim in open water from the dock.

Upon arrival on the island, the staff prepares a fresh fruit buffet and during the afternoon you have a light snack of fresh slices of pineapple and melon. Isla del Sol offers buffet dinner and includes fried fish in Colombian fashion. If you do not like fish, you can replace it with chicken. Be sure to ask the manager upon your arrival to the island. Your fish (or chicken) is served with fish soup, coconut rice, salad and fried yuca, a crisper version of the fries.

With a beautiful swimming pool and plenty of activities to do, Isla del Sol is a hidden paradise that has kept its charm very different from the big resorts.
