Cartagena city tour – Historic center

Transport service from your hotel or your boat till the historic center of Cartagena. The schedule of the tour starts at the Santa Teresa place and the San Pedro Claver place. Then we move up to the La Douane place, carriage place, Public Clock. And then to the Simon Bolivar park by passing through the Proclamation place right beside the Cathedral close from the Gold museum and then we visit the Inquisition Palace by heading to the church place of Santo Domingo. We walk to the Wall and the ramparts of Santo Domingo and San Francisco Javier to take the vehicle and gead to Las Bovedas. Many other sites are visited during this tour.

DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS

 

Cartagena de Indias was founded on June 1, 1533 by Pedro Heredia and became prosperous with the exportation of gold, emeralds and other riches. Its beautiful fortifications are still solid today with the colonial architecture, government buildings and churches. Cartagena has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

Your 4-hour city tour will take you through history, starting at the two most spectacular sites: the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, which was erected between 1536 and 1657, whichi is a strategic place to observe the invasions in the city by the land or by the bay of Cartagena and the magnificent convent of La Popa, which overlooks the city from its 145 meters and was built in 1606.

Afterwards, you will visit the 8 km long wall around the historic center and finally you will have a two hours walk in the historic center of Cartagena to discover streets, monuments, parks, squares, churches and interesting places.

BOOKING PROCESS

  1. When you want to know more about our tours, our transportation or tour company using our quote or booking form, we will answer you within 24 hours in order to receive a quick answer to your requests.

  2. A free booking is then made on your behalf for a period of 5 days while asking you to choose to pay a deposit of 50% or 100% by credit card via Paypal (Editions Melonic).

  3. If after 5 days we have not received your desposit, then we will cancel your booking.

  4. When your payment is received, we will send you by email your booking ticket between 24 and 48 hours to confirm your tour or transportation.

  5. This booking ticket contains in detail all information concerning your tour as well as the information and contact details of the person in charge of the service in Cartagena.

  6. Please print your booking ticket and show it to the person in charge during your tour. This ticket is your proof of purchase.

  7. If a final payment is to be paid, then you must give it to the person in charge when you start your tour.

 

DATE CHANGE

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a booking ticket with all the information about your tour, including local contact details, which you can contact if you have any questions or need to change the date.

We will do our best to accommodate your request change free of charge.

 

CANCELLATION

You may cancel your booking in accordance with certain provisions that do not cause harm to you or to us.

Full refund, if the cancellation occurs more than 5 days before the date of service.

If your claim is less than 5 days before the date of service, we will evaluate your request to ensure that we have no serious prejudice as a loss of customers or expenses incurred by the booking.
